Nexus Lab has developed software for airlines to reduce their environmental impact by up to 35% by avoiding contrails. Contrails, the white clouds left behind by planes, are five times more effective at trapping heat than CO2 and account for 35% of aviation's direct impact on global warming. Due to their substantial impact, the EU will implement new regulations starting January 2025, requiring airlines to manage their contrail emissions. With Nexus Lab's technology, airlines can potentially save 7 tons of CO2 equivalent per flight, helping them meet the upcoming EU regulatory requirements.
