Ioana has been heading up the Global Market Access Strategy for Abbott’s medicines business for the past two years. Prior to this role, she held various positions in Novartis, Sandoz, GlaxoSmithKline, in market access, marketing, public affairs, and R&D based in the US, Germany, UK, Switzerland. She has over 25 years experience in pharmaceuticals, including being responsible for launching multiple oncology and immunology biosimilars and leading the launch of a respiratory biologic and a rare disease portfolio. Ioana holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the UK and completed postdoctoral work in Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill (U.S.).
