Melanie has been a valued member of Sartorius for nearly a decade, bringing extensive expertise in CHO cell line development for biosimilars and novel biologic entities (NBEs), as well as molecular and cell biology, bioprocess optimization, and transfer to contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs). In her current role as Manager of Cell Line Development Operations, she oversees the completion of cell line development projects for clients, ensuring that all scientific aspects are meticulously managed from vector generation to the establishment of a robust research cell bank (RCB). Her teams are dedicated to delivering a fully developed process to the CDMO. Prior to joining Sartorius, Melanie gained her PhD in Virology after having studied molecular and cell biology at Erlangen University.
