Patrick is the Clinical Environmental Sustainability Lead at Novartis, responsible for integrating Environmental Sustainability mindset, principles and practices across all trial stages & relevant business processes. In his role he works with study teams across Novartis Development as well as Vendors, Clinical Sites and Industry peers as part of the Sustainable Healthcare Coalition (SHC) to ultimately reduce emissions by significantly optimizing the levels of waste, material shipments and travel linked to clinical trials. In 2023, the Sustainable Market Initiative (SMI) awarded Novartis and the Greener Clinical Trials program that Patrick is leading with the Terra Carta Seal for actively leading the change to create a climate and nature positive future.
