Romain Vuillefroy de Silly, Senior Scientist, University of lausanne

Romain is a senior scientist at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research of the University of Lausanne. He earned his PhD in immune response to transplantation and further studied mechanisms of immunosuppression involved in the tumour microenvironment (hypoxia and acidity). He is interested in improving T-cell gene engineering strategies, including increasing the modularity of retroviral vectors, for enhanced immunotherapy efficacy.
