Yousef Jawabreh | Mining Expert

Yousef holds a Master’s degree in Environment, specializing in Dynamics of Territories and Societies from Paris Sorbonne University. He worked for 14 years as an Environmental Specialist at the Environment Protection and Development Authority, supervising environmental projects and plans within mining companies. Since 2016, he has been serving as a Mining Expert at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, UAE. In this role, he has prepared Environmental Impact Assessments for various projects, including mining projects, and has implemented environmental management plans and strategies. He has also contributed to developing strategies for the UAE mining sector, conducting feasibility studies for investment opportunities, and supporting projects aimed at sector development. Recently, he has worked on several technical projects, including the Geothermal Energy Atlas and Minerals and Rocks Atlas in the UAE, the UAE Mining Strategy, Geophysical and Geological Database, Mineral Industries Survey, Sea Level Rise Study, 3D Modeling for Mineral Exploration, and designing a Capacity Building Program for the mining sector. Yousef has presented multiple work papers on the UAE mining sector at local and regional conferences and workshops.
