Lerato Ramushu is the Executive/Director of Ngwanalaka Group Holdings. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations Communication / Image Management from the University of Johannesburg (UJ). Her completion in Artisan Entrepreneurship certificate at the Allan Gray Makershub programme, Her certificate completion in Small business entrepreneurship management and Supplier development programme at the University of Johannesburg business school. She also completed her Electrical trade certificate at Olifantsfontein Artisan Academy as well as her PV green card at Nepoworx Academy. Ngwanalaka Group Holdings (trading business as “Ngwana-laka Electrical”) is a female, Black-owned South African company that provides electrical and Solar system installation and maintenance  Under Lerato’s leadership, the company is active in the sub-metering / prepaid-meter market: previously she worked with the prepaid-meter installer network of Citiq Prepaid, eventually growing her own team of electricians and plumbers to install meters, while she handled client relations, business development and marketing. Ngwanalaka is also working in the renewable energy / solar sector via a project / initiative called Green Leaders Minds — under this, the company aims to supply and install solar systems for residential, commercial, industrial and office properties across South Africa. As part of this renewable-energy focus, the company emphasises empowerment and skills development: they provide in-service training and practical opportunities to young women and youth having Partnered with YES ( youth employment services) entering the electrical/renewables sector — helping them graduate, find employment, or establish their own businesses. Lerato appears driven by a mix of entrepreneurship, community upliftment, and empowerment, particularly of women. According to her bio from Ngwanalaka, her vision is not just to run a business — but to create opportunities for young female and youth as electrical professionals, bridging the gap between education/skills training and practical employment or entrepreneurship.  Through “Green Leaders Minds,” her ambition is to expand into solar manufacturing, make renewable energy more accessible and affordable — and in doing so create jobs in manufacturing and renewable-energy services. Lerato Ramushu and Ngwanalaka Group Holdings have been recognised among nominees for “Most Promising Founder of the Year” in the 2023 SHE2023 Africa Awards. As well as nominee of Techpreneur of the year 2024 Lerato’s journey stands out because she’s operating at the intersection of multiple critical areas in South Africa — utilities, property management, renewable energy, and women’s empowerment. By building a business that addresses energy access, offers skills/training, and supports female participation in a male-dominated sector, she is contributing both to economic development and social transformation.
