Leading on the Midlands electric vehicle (EV) strategy for the Midlands Region as part of Midlands Sub-Regional Transport Body (Midlands Connect) to help the region accelerating electric vehicle infrastructure towards UK targets, to help improve local air emissions, connectivity across the region and tackle transport emissions, with a key focus on rural transport. Also supporting the wider technology and innovation programme.  Am passionate about sustainability  and have exprience in delivery of sustainable and environmental projects, strategies and wider programme management within public, NGO and private sectors. I feel being able to build positive partnerships between local authorities, public body organisations has to be delivered alongisde cultural change through business compliance, education and providing advise. Previously worked in supporting local authorities on decarbonising transport agenda within Energy Savings Trusts Local Government Support Programme and before this was a Local Authority officer delivering ISO 14001, nuisance, environmental pollution and previous 8 years as Environmental advisor in the private sector.
