Paul is a Senior Innovation and Technical Evaluation Coordinator at National Energy Action (NEA), the national fuel poverty and energy efficiency charity. He has been evaluating solar PV and battery projects in social housing since 2016. He has worked on projects in Devon, London, Cheshire and Yorkshire and has written 15 reports on solar and battery projects. His most recent collaboration has been with North Devon Homes where the project installed solar PV in homes with ASHPs, infrared heating panels and storage heaters with and without battery storage. The project also installed Mixergy smart hot water cylinders with solar diverters. It is on the shortlist for Residential Installation of the Year at the Solar & Storage Live Awards. Another recent collaboration was with Energise Barnsley on the Ashden award winning 'Smart Solar in Barnsley' project which installed 75 x 2.9kWh Alpha ESS batteries.
