Dr Asteris Apostolidis has worked for airlines, academic institutes and aircraft manufacturers in four different countries, having dealt with the technical and strategic problematics of operational efficiency, as well as simulation methods for processes, systems and assets. He is an all-rounder when it comes to the application of AI in the aviation sector, a theme that he also investigates from a technical perspective in his academic career. He is currently appointed as a Lead for Technical Innovation at KLM Royal Dutch Airline, among various expert group appointments, such as the Independent Data Consortium for Aviation (IDCA), where he chairs the Aircraft Operational Data committee.
