Simon Hughes is the Global Head of Sales and Partnerships for APEXX Global. Having amassed over 20 years of experience in the payments space Simon is truly an expert in travel payments and payments innovation. Simon joined APEXX after a 19 year stint with European travel giant the TUI Group where he finished up leading the Payments Service globally. Having made the switch to the supplier side in 2021 he quickly ascended up the ranks at APEXX starting as the Vertical Lead in travel before taking on the Global Head of Partnerships role and subsequently adding the Head of Sales role to his portfolio. Simon is passionate about delivering value to travel merchants in every interaction via payment orchestration, reducing complexity and optimising the customer journey.
