Martin Cooperwaite | Co-founder
Kiandra

Martin Cooperwaite, Co-founder, Kiandra

Martin's tech journey started early with a passion for coding, sparked by his father's source code books. After earning a Bachelor of Computer Science in 1995, Martin teamed up with friend Cameron Brookes on a project for Cameron’s uncle’s accounting firm, which then led to the founding of Kiandra.

Together, they grew Kiandra into an international success, expanding to Melbourne, Perth, and Toronto. The company's commitment to high-quality software earned over 18 awards for innovation and service. In 2017, Martin led Kiandra's shift to specialise in low-code enterprise solutions. This transformation enabled the delivery of critical projects across Government and Health, including Voluntary Assisted Dying and COVID rapid response solutions. The power of low-code has enabled Kiandra to demonstrate commitment by providing no-cost working prototypes upfront, and industry-leading 24-month warranties. Without modern low-code, this would not be possible.

With 29 years of experience, Martin remains deeply involved in Kiandra, championing low-code solutions to high-stakes challenges.
