Matt Zwolenski, Director and CTO, Google Cloud

Matt joined Google in 2020 and leads the technology team for Google Cloud in Australia and NZ. Matt’s team specializes in AI, Analytics, modern app development, security and Cloud Native infrastructure. Matt and his team work across all verticals in Australia & NZ, ranging from Enterprises, Education and Government departments as well as start-ups and scale-ups.
 
The core role of Matt’s team is to find better ways to innovate, identify AI use cases that push the boundaries of technology and build better, safer and more trusted digital experiences for customers. He often works with customers on their AI & Analytics strategies, their approach to more agile and lean software development as well as zero trust security principals.
 
Before joining Google, Matt was the Vice President for Technology across the Asia Pacific & Japan region at Dell Technologies, CTO for EMC in Australia & NZ and early in his career ran  Technology and Architecture initiatives at IBM. He is author of the book “Enterprise Hybrid Cloud for Dummies” which has helped organizations shift their traditional IT systems to Cloud first models. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in software engineering and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, as well as multiple Google Cloud certifications. He is an avid scuba diver, enjoys surfing, traveling and outdoor adventures.
